Paper Crafting Picture Frames with Autumn Leaves

Blogphotoframe I keep seeing picture frames decorated with scrapbooking supplies.  I have wanted to play and make one so I finally did on my birthday. It was so easy and it looks so cute on my shelf.  I bought a wood picture frame for only a dollar.  Then I adhered the Autumn Leaves Black Red and Cream Cllection paper with the K&Co Craft Bond, and then filed off the excess with my Basicgrey file set so that the paper fit perfectly.  The embellishments were also easy to apply with the same K&Co adhesive.   I was amazed at how anything I had in my scrabooking supplies worked with the frame.  It is a great way to use scraps of paper and extra supplies.  Try one for your self, I think they would make a great gift.

No Boys Allowed Scrapbooking with Basicgrey

Blogbgnoboys My girls and I love to scrapbook together.  Once a month we have Scrapbook night at our house. On this evening we go to the store and buy our favorite candy treats and then lock ourselves in our scrapbook room and tell the boys NO BOYS ALLOWED!  My littlest son asks each week if it is time for scrapbook night.  He loves it because the boys have Nintendo Wii night with their dad.  There is a standing argument at our home over who has more fun during Scrapbook night.

In March of each year the girls and I take Scrapbook night to the extreme and spent the weekend at the CK Scrapbooking conference.  We love every minute of it, because we are together doing something we all enjoy.  Here is a project my daughter did with the pictures from last years conference.  She used the Basicgrey Blush set paper and our Provo Craft Cricket Machine to cut out the letters. Every once in a while it is okay to say No Boys Allowed. HA-HA and Happy Scrapping.

Scrapbooking School Supplies with K&Co Adhesive

My daughter gets a bit zealous when it comes to school supplies; she spends the week before school starts decorating her school supplies. Needless to say she has the cutest ruler and pencil box in class!  One thing my girls love right now is decorating journals with scrapbooking paper and embellishments.  I bought several composition books while they were on sale. The girls cover and embellish them and wow what a great project for any age.  This is an example of one of them.  We have found that our favorite way to adhere the paper so it stays put.  The best scrapbooking and craft adhesive is the K&Co Wacky Tac Craft Bond (I just love this adhesive).  They have also had fun making their own mini books with the Zutter Machine.  This way they can make books any size and out of nearly any medium, even old CDs.  Below are a few of the books they have made with the Zutter.

Back to School Scrapbooking with Basicgrey

My birthday was the same as the first day of school year for all our kids. For me, after a long summer full of four children’s voices, the best birthday gift was four hours of quiet time while all my children were in school.  The morning was especially busy as I took each of my children to their school and took first day of school pictures.  When my last little boy was at preschool I thought how fun it would be to have the life where I could scrapbook the pictures I had just taken.  Then I realized it was my Birthday and I had a few hours to do anything I wanted so I went straight up to my scrapbook room and spent the next few hours scrapbooking the first day photos and other projects I had my eye on.  It was so fun!

For this project I used the new Basicgrey 2007 Recess collection for my inspiration.  From the collection pack I used the Basicgrey Recess alphabet stickers and a few of the papers.  I also used the Basicgrey Recess monogram die cuts for the school title.  Bazzill paper from the coordinating pack was used for the cardstock; embellishment from
